LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Amware Fulfillment, a national third-party fulfillment company, has acquired Moulton Logistics, a Los Angeles-based company specializing in fulfillment for eCommerce and direct response companies. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The addition of Moulton’s facilities in Los Angeles, CA, and South Brunswick, NJ, adds over 400,000 square feet to Amware’s total footprint and expands Amware’s national fulfillment network to 13 facilities, enabling 1–2 day ground delivery to 95% of the U.S. population.
According to Amware’s CEO, Harry Drajpuch, the acquisition provides Amware and its customers with benefits of scale.
“We’re now one of the largest privately held, national fulfillment companies,” he said. “Amware customers will benefit from an expanded facility network, greater volume leverage with carriers to lower parcel shipping rates, and access to the significant operational expertise of the Moulton team, which has focused on B2C fulfillment services since 1968.”
Moulton also adds a new and complementary capability to the Amware service suite: after-sale customer service. Moulton operates a large call center with trained customer service representatives that assume all the costly and time-consuming aspects of managing a call center, including live phone support, live chat, email, and Facebook and Twitter correspondence.
Drajpuch added, “The Moulton Logistics name is synonymous with direct response TV (DRTV) fulfillment for products sold via TV commercials and shop-at-home shows. Amware is excited to participate in this new channel, particularly in a pandemic when more people are ordering online and in response to TV promotions.”
By teaming up with Amware, Moulton will be able to access Amware’s national footprint of facility locations across the United States, allowing Moulton to provide comprehensive coverage for its customers in addition to Amware’s suite of service offerings.
“We are excited about adding the Moulton customers, service offerings and additional locations. The combined business further enhances Amware’s unique e-commerce fulfillment value proposition by providing excellent service and 1-2 day national delivery options for its customers,” said John Fruehwirth, Managing Partner at Rotunda Capital Partners.
Amware Fulfillment is backed by Rotunda Capital Partners, a Bethesda, Maryland-based private equity firm. Rotunda focuses on both organic growth opportunities as well as tuck-in acquisitions to drive portfolio company growth. The addition of Moulton Logistics is another example of Rotunda Capital helping founder and family-owned companies grow through acquisitions.
